Zen House inviterer til Club Zen – et uformelt møtested for søkende og lekende mennesker. Denne fredagskvelden blir butikken omskapt til en arena for kreative uttrykk, bla poesi, dans og levende musikk, samt gode sosiale møter i en meditativ ramme.

"ONE NOMAD'S JOURNEY", med poeten K.B. Harris

 

The book: “One nomad’s journey” is a story about one man’s travel through life. It is the author’s belief that we humans have much more in common than we have that divides us. Many of the poems in the book touch upon that common ground.

We are all nomads on a journey. We do not remember the start, and we, for sure, do not know when or how it will finish. Nevertheless; we are here, and we have no choice but to wander; that we know. During our individual journeys, most of us will struggle, compete, suffer and cause suffering; but also find love, for shorter or longer times.

Some of our challenges we will create ourselves and some are thrown our way like rain from the sky.

 

The 83 poems in this collection follow a process in the unfolding of one nomad’s journey. Every poem in each of the twelve chapters describes a segment of his wanderings. Even though the collection as a whole represents one thread; every poem and each chapter is independent.

 

K.B.Harris was born in the middle of the last century, north of the Arctic Circle. His wanderings have taken him from the bustling cities of the world, through the Alaskan wilderness, the Siberian birch forest and the Mongolian steppes, to war zones and ancient villages nestled in the crevices of the Hindu Kush Mountains, where the words hurry and deadlines have no meaning. His inner journey, taken at the same time, has always been the more arduous of the two.
